The Cold Embrace

The Cold Embrace is a typographic poster and object that plays on the opposed attitudes of giving someone the cold shoulder or embracing one another.
The design juxtaposes the phrases ‘The Cold Shoulder’ and ‘The Warm Embrace’ in an infinite loop. Suggestive of people who are always in contact in either a negative of positive way.
To enhance this concept the design is printed on two sides of a thermal sheet (which is normally used in emergency situations) One side reflecting heat and cooling someone down and one side containing heat and keeping someone warm. The design is produced in the form of a poster (83,5 x 54 cm) and as a full blanket showcasing the design as a pattern.
